A Beautifull way to celebrate Women’s History Month is to come see this exhibtion at The Photographer’s Eye Gallery. Brought together through Donna Cosentino’s beautiful vision to place three very different perspectives on motherhood in conversation with one another.

Featuring Debe Arlook, Michele Zousmer, and myself.

My own work, drawn from Sanctuary in the Wild, follows my two sons as they immerse in nature, capturing quiet moments of wonder, intimacy, and becoming.

I left feeling deeply moved by Debe Arlook and Michele Zousmer.

Learning about their projects and the devotion behind them was a gift of a new lens to see through on the subject of motherhood and offered much food for thought.

Though our work comes from very different perspectives, we are connected by the many forms of motherhood through love, care, protection, creation, and the tending of life.

Debe’s project one, one thousand documents the relationship between her sister and her son,“an epileptic who requires constant care,”revealing extraordinary courage and tenderness."

Michele’s MIS[S]UNDERSTOOD explores the lives of Irish Traveller women, where mothers hold families together despite deep marginalization.

Both artists have powerful books definitely worth exploring through their Instagram pages.

Three bodies of work.Three very different worlds. One underlying force. Love.
